| President's Message |
Dear Neighbor,
We had another very productive and successful Fall Clean up on Saturday September 27th! A team consisting of five members of the Charles County Sherriff’s Office (CCSO) lead by our Community Policing Officer, Charlie Smith #324, all five members of the Board of Directors, a member of the Association and 15 folks supplied by the Sheriff’s Office worked collectively to beautify the neighborhood. We not only cleaned-up common areas within the neighborhood we also install new post in front of the community entrance sign on Oak and White Oak Drive, repaired all three benches located at the Oak Drive Pond and made improvements to the tot lot located on Holm Oak Drive that included replacement swings, new mulch over the play area and paint touch-up (to remove graffiti).
This effort required a great deal of time and coordination between the Board of Directors and the CCSO. I want to thank the team leaders who utilized their work forces to successfully work the plans associated with this effort. These folks all worked tirelessly in an effort to improve our neighborhood. We are already looking forward to the Spring 2009 clean up to implement even more improvements.
By utilizing free labor, provided by the CCSO, and free mulch, provided by the County through the CCSO, we were able to save the association a significant amount of money to make these improvements to the community.
I want to remind the association the Annual Meeting of the Association will take place at Trinity Baptist Church on Monday October 27th.
Best regards,
Jerry Dalsey
