President's Message
Dear Neighbor,

I want to begin by wishing you and your family all the best this holiday season. The construction of the playground on Holm Oak Drive is complete. We are having a security light installed next to the tot lot at the recommendation of the Charles County Sherriff’s Office. During our December meeting of the Board of Directors (BOD) it was determined beginning in 2010 we will move from monthly BOD meetings to a BOD meeting every other month. Our next BOD meeting will be Tuesday in February 2 at 7:00 p.m. The annual Home Owner’s Association (HOA) assessments are included in this community newsletter. The yearly HOA assessment for 2010 was increased by one dollar from 2009 to $100.00 per year. In 2010 the Board will continue to sponsor Spring and Fall Community Clean-ups and Yard Sales as well as participate in the annual National Night Out which will move from the first Tuesday in August to the first Tuesday in September this year. The BODs is also planning additional community improvement projects for 2010. We hope to have many of you participated in all of these BOD sponsored community functions.

I would like to again thank my fellow BOD members Chuck Facini, Eddie Harris, Cyndi Modlin and Lance Moore. Personally I believe they are one of the best groups of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Professionally I admire their dedication and tireless support of our community. I would like also like to thank our community policing officer (CPO) Officer Smith #324. Officer Smith works, on an ongoing and consistent basis, with the BODs in an effort to increase community awareness as well as advise us on how to deal with police related issues associated with our community. Officer Smith provides a multitude of services and support including community drive throughs, speed limit enforcement, community clean-up and NNO support and based on these efforts Officer Smith provides feedback and professional recommendations to the BODs for future improvements. Lastly I would like to acknowledge the efforts of our management company, Pesante Norris LLC. They have gone above and beyond when it comes to supporting our community whether it’s an extra newsletter or a quick response to an e-mail request they always provide fast and efficient support to the BOD and our efforts to make our community better.

Again I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday and prosperous 2010.

Thank you,
Jerry Dalsey
President WOV BODs
